Lucia is one of three individuals honored by the NEISD Council of PTAs at the 2026 Founders’ Day Celebration.

The Extended Service Award is presented by Texas PTA to individuals who continue to give outstanding service to children and the community after receiving the Texas PTA Honorary Life Membership Award.

Robbie Shepherd, NECPTA Advocacy Chair, on receiving the Texas PTA Honorary Life Membership Award.
