FOUNDERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

February 2, 2023

Host School: Winston Churchill High School

Founders’ Day, the anniversary of the formation of National PTA in 1897, is a reminder of the substantial role that PTA has played locally, regionally, and nationally in supporting parent involvement and working on behalf of all children and families.

The NEISD Council of PTAs hosts an annual Founders’ Day celebration each year to celebrate the accomplishments of our schools and PTAs. All Texas Honorary Life Members, Extended Service, and National Lifetime Achievement award recipients, from across the district, are recognized at this event.

Each year a different high school from our district hosts this special event. Audiences are treated to a production put on by the many talented students from the host school. This year, our host school is Churchill High School.

Please check the Council Calendar for the most current Founders’ Day workshop and event dates. Life Member/Founders’ Day Chairs should submit their awardee information through the Founders’ Day Life Member Recognition Form as soon as they are selected.
