Whether you volunteer through your student's school or individually, please feel free to sign up! Consult the volunteer information, then click on this SignUp Link to pick a shift. We encourage you to sign up under ANY shift, regardless of school assignment. Other Needs: 

Purpose

To help students (Pre K-12) in our district, whose families or guardians may be economically challenged, by providing new and/or gently used clothing for school that meets the NEISD Dress Code.

How it Works

Families will be confidentially referred by a school representative (Nurse, Counselor or Family Specialist). The representative will provide a voucher for each qualifying student in the family. The family will be able to "shop" (no cost) at the Clothes Closet for the following items: 5 tops, 5 bottoms, 5 new socks & 5 new underwear (per semester), and 3 coats or jackets (per school year).

Guidelines regarding what clothing donations are and are not accepted are available in English & Spanish. Feel free to print and post at your school. Large donations should be made during operating hours.

Clothes Closet Impact

We served 864 students from 326 families across NEISD during the 2022-2023 school year. Additionally, we provided 1,650 items of emergency clothing, and 3,525 pairs of new Bombas socks to our local campuses. As the need increases, so does our opportunity to invest our time and resources in our students.

What does the Clothes Closet need to be prepared to provide?
